What to Drink?

Types of Wine: Pinot Noir

DIRECTIONS

Bring the rice and 1/2 cup water to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cover; simmer until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed, 20 to 25 minutes. Fluff with fork, and allow to cool.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray an 11 x 9 baking pan with cooking spray.

Remove the skin from the salmon (and bones if you prefer). Combine salmon, optional carrots, onions, eggs, cooled rice, and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well with your hands. Form into 8 (tennis ball sized) balls, using about 3/4 cup salmon mixture per portion. Arrange balls in the prepared pan, allowing room for them to expand. Mix the soup and 1/2 cup water together in a small bowl; pour over the salmon balls. Cover with foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Allow salmon balls to rest for a few minutes before servingI have canned salmon and rice, i need a recipe?
I have three ideas'

Salmon fried rice-

heat some oil in a pan with garlic and add the salmon, then add frizen peas and sitr fry til peas are hot. Add the cooled cooked rice and stir fry a minutes.

Put aside, and beat two eggs- add to the same oilive oil pan ( push the rice to the side of the pan if it's big enough.)

Make scrambled eggs and stir the eggs into the rice mixture.

Sprinkle with dashes of soysacue and fresh chopped cilantro.

Blackened Salmon and rice.

Cook the rice, in a stock cube.

Smother the salmon in a marinade of paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, garlic powder, salt, melted butter, lemon juice, and cracked pepper. Dip the salmon chunks into this marinade and cook on an oven tray, sear on the stove top and sear it brown for two mintues each side, then transfer to the oven for 5 minutes.

Stir sweetcorn into the rice, with chopped parsley, and serve the salmon on top.

Salmon rice cakes.

Mix the cooked rice, flaked salmon, chopped green onion, a beaten egg, some cream of curd cheese ( mayo if that is what you have), salt pepper , pine nuts ( very good in this, or any other crumbled nuts), green peas and dill.

Mix all together making firm patties.

Beat an egg and make breadcrumbs in another bowl, Dip the patties in egg then crumbs and shallow fry, the trick is to get them very crispy on one side before flipping so they don't break apart.

Serve with lemon wedges and enjoy.
my grandma did this the other night, she added chopped sauteed onions, celery and mushrooms, and an egg to rice and canned salmon, it makes little patties or you can put them in a muffin pan.
Steam your rice and serve with cold salmon and a salad.
