Can i grill canned salmon. Please give me a recipe.?

Grilling canned salmon is a problem because of the way the fish is preserved (chunks not fillets). However, Bumble Bee makes a variety of vacuum sealed salmon fillets that can be cooked on the grill or grill pan on the stove. I have a teriyaki version in my cupboard now and they are ok. If all you have is canned or you want a good recipe for canned salmon here is one i like.

1 large can of salmon

approximately 1/2 cup bread crumbs ( amount depends on moisture content of salmon)

1-2 eggs

1/2 onion diced

Lawry's seasoned salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to taste.

Remove the skin and bone fragments from the salmon and place into mixing bowl.

Add remaining ingredients and blend together. Try to maintain a chunky texture but make sure the salmon will form into patties.

Heat a nonstick pan on the stove over med-high and add your favorite oil. (I use olive oil but others will work)

Saute patties for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Another way to use canned salmon.

A grill recipe:

1 can salmon

3 ramiro peppers (or regular red peppers)

1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

finely grated zest and juice of 陆 lemon

3 Tbsp. olive oil

2 Tbsp. capers, rinsed and drained

salt and freshly ground black pepper

75 g goat's cheese, cut into chunks

18 black olives

6 cherry tomatoes, halved

Drain the salmon. Remove skin and bones and break into large chunks.

Preheat a hot grill. Carefully cut each pepper in half, lengthways. Arrange them on the grill rack, cut side up, and grill for about 7 - 8 minutes.

Meanwhile, make the dressing by mixing together the parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil and capers. Season with salt and black pepper.

Lift the grill pan from the grill, and fill the peppers with the salmon chunks, goat鈥檚 cheese, olives and cherry tomatoes. Return to the grill and cook for another 2 - 3 minutes. Serve the peppers with the dressing spooned over.
