Good recipe for salmon?

My family (other than my husband) are no seafood/fish eaters....I'll eat a little shrimp here and there, and like those tiny fried scallops from red lobster but thats it....I want to start adding a fish to our diet because of the benefits....My husband used to LOVE seafood and has recently grown an allergy to it all BUT salmon...for some reason salmon is the only seafood/fish that doesn't burn his mouth and make him sick...So how is a good way to cook salmon? Honestly the only salmon that i have ever eaten came in the form of a fried patty at a babysitters when i was just a kid......I don't like fishy taste....so could someone help me out? thanks!Good recipe for salmon?
Glazed Salmon

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce,

lime juice and mustard.

Marinate the salmon in the sauce in the refrigerator for several hours, or until ready to cook.

In a nonstick skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray, cook the salmon on each side, 3 to 5 minutes, until golden brown, crispy, and just cooked through. Transfer the salmon to a platter.

6 6 ounce salmon filets

salt and freshly ground pepper

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 1/2 cups whipping cream

1/2 cup vodka

2 tablespoons green peppercorns in water, drained and crushed

Salmon and Pasta

Yields 4 servings

1 medium red onion, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic

4 cup water

1 cup red wine

1/2 cup soy sauce, divided

2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 can straw mushrooms

1 package fresh angel hair pasta

1 bag fresh spinach

1/4 cup lemon juice

1 cup olive oil

4 salmon fillets

Breading:

2 cup bread crumbs

2 cup panko (Japanese bread crumbs, made from rice crackers)

1 teaspoon each onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper

Saut茅 onion with garlic until garlic is brown and onion is almost translucent. Add 4 cups water, the red wine, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon pepper.

Bring to boil and add straw mushrooms. This is the broth and sauce into which you will place the cooked pasta. Do not use to cook pasta, or the broth will become starchy.

Mix the remaining 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1 cup olive oil. Add salmon fillets and marinate at least four hours.

Preheat oven to 350掳F. Mix breading ingredients. Spray baking pan with nonstick vegetable oil. Remove fillets from marinade, dip in breading mixture and place in pan. Bake 15-20 minutes.

Meanwhile, in large saucepan, cook pasta in boiling water until al dente. Drain pasta and mix with broth mixture until well-coated. Dip a portion onto a plate using a ladle to get the broth and mushrooms.

Lay fresh spinach on top of pasta, then a salmon fillet. The heat of the pasta and salmon will slightly wilt the spinach. Serve with steamed asparagus, if desired, and a wedge of lemon.Good recipe for salmon?
We grill it (it grills very quickly--about 5 minutes on each side) and then serve it with a sauce made from low fat mayonnaise, lemon juice and dill. (Dill can be fresh or dried) Start with 1/4 cup mayo and adjust the others to taste. You could also try canned salmon tossed in a salad, or follow any tuna salad recipe, just substitute the canned salmon for the tuna. And don't worry, salmon is not a fishy tasting fish. I don't like a fishy taste either and I eat salmon all the time.
one way is to take it cut it up in slices (a slice big ebough for one person) and bake for maybe 15-20 min or until cooked in about 350? then when its done put salt pepper and butter on it and serve.

another one is salmon soup. take salmon and put it in boiling water with red pepper onion and lemon juice and ginger (if you want a strong taste use ginger) and serve.

Allergies are a funny business, they can happen in any age with things that we were never allergic to before. I hope he becomes OK with the other fish soon. At least he has no problems with salmon, that is nice. Salmon is a oily fish and hence a good source of omega 3 fatty acids.

If you are cooking salmon for the first time, I will suggest try grilling some salmon steaks. That will be easy.

Here are a few suggestions of what you can do with salmon steaks

(like salmon with spinach or salmon with avocado etc) http://www.creative-cooking-corner.com/f鈥?/a>

Poached salmon with a sauce and baby potatoes also would be a good recipe.

If you want to try the cutlets, then follow the fish cutlet recipe on the above link, use salmon fillet and proceed with the recipe.

All the best.
Get nice firm, pink salmon steaks. You can ask the butcher at most grocery stores. They should be about 1 inch thick. Nice fresh salmon will not smell or taste fishy. Place your salmon steaks in baking dish. Sprinkle with dill and lay onion slices over them. Cover with chicken broth or bullion. Cook in oven til firm and flaky. While the salmon is cooking chop one cucumber in very small pieces. Place in bowl and sprinkle with 1 tsp salt. Drain liquid off of the cucumber and add to 2 cps plain yogurt. Add 1 tsp dill weed. Place your cooked salmon on serving plate and spoon sauce over it. This is so delicious. Serve it with some little new potatoes and onions baked in a casserole dish. Cover potatoes and onions with 1 pkg onion soup mix. Add a couple of tbs. butter to dish and cover and bake till done. If you like you can also add things like carrots, mushrooms, broccoli etc. Makes for a great meal.
