Wild Alaskan (Sockeye) Salmon Fillets
Lemons (Organic if possible)
Your favorite extra virgin Olive Oil
Salt %26amp; Pepper to taste
Start at least an hour ahead. Rinse the fillets and place them in a glass dish. Squeeze fresh lemon over the fillets. Use at least one lemon per fillet. The best I ever enjoyed literally bathed in lemon juice for one hour!
Set your oven to broil or fire up your grill. If using the oven place marinated fillets in a shallow baking dish. Drizzle with Olive Oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. If grilling, rip out a piece of faithful aluminum foil and place fillets on the foil, season, and cover closing the foil together at the top.
Broil for 8 - 10 minutes, turn and bake 5 more depending on your oven. The grill may take up to 20 minutes. You can see that the fish is thoroughly cooked by slicing a fillet in through the center and making sure that it has cooked to a lighter pink and all signs of raw darker pink are gone. Bon Appetit!
==========
-1 salmon steak
-Extra virgin olive oil
-Chopped green and white onions
-Salt
-Pepper
Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Rinse your salmon steak in water to clean it. Then marinate it with a thin coat of extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle a little salt and pepper on it.
Cut the white onions in long strips while finely dicing the green onions into minced pieces.
Lightly oil the saute pan and turn on the stove top to medium-high heat.
Let the oil warm up a little bit, then toss both green and white onions into the skillet and saute them until cooked (about 5-7 mins or until soft).
Once the onions are done, pour them into a bowl and set it aside.
Line the baking sheet with tin foil and place the salmon on it. Fold up the sides of the foil so it encases the salmon.
Pop the salmon into the oven and bake it for about 15 minutes.
Occasionally check on it and stick a fork through the center to see if it is moist and flakey and fully cooked or if it still needs a few more minutes in the oven.
Once the salmon is done, take it out and it'll easily slip off the tin foil and onto a plate.
Sprinkle the sauted onions on top of it and serve.
That first recipe sounds good too. I would try preheating oven to 350, rinse salmon, place skin side down (or steak cut) on aluminum foil lined pan. Spread enough mayonaise to coat, then sprinkle with Lawrys garlic salt, and lemon pepper. Bake for 15 minutes then switch oven to broil for 8 more minutes. It gives it a crisp edge yet tender inside. MMM
depending on how big your salmon is - I use 1 cup of mayo, 2 tsp lemon juice, 2 tsp of dill. Place your salmon in a greased shallow baking dish - spread the mayo mixture across the top %26amp; bake according to how big your salmon is.
